This project was initiated and maintained by architect Sabu Francis with the blessings of the Solar Energy Cell at IIT1 Bombay headed by Prof. Dr. J.K.Nayak and the Department of Architecture and Regional Planning, IIT1 Kharagpur.
Mr. Sabu Francis had discovered the fractal taxonomy when he head barely reached thirty — in 1989. He got recognition for the work from JIIA (Journal of Indian Institute of Architects) in 1991. He,along with others, has been working on it and using it since that time.
All the users (Over 130, Jan 2007) who have registered at TeamTAD have implicitly contributed to the project by showing their interest in this project.

1 IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) is one of the leading technological institute in India. There are seven IITs in India. They are at Chennai, Mumbai(Bombay), Kharagpur, Kanpur, Delhi, Rourkee, Guhawati. Their alumnus have done exemplary work all over the world. Mr. Sabu Francis is an alumnus of IIT Kharapur.
